Stop Preventable Deterioration of Hospitalized Patients 

Among Hospitalized Patients

  • 440,000 will die each year due to preventable causes.

  • 25% will experience adverse event(s)

  • 3%-9% will experience preventable deterioration.

  • 8%-12 % will experience medical errors. 

  • 66% of those who suffer cardiac arrest, had signs 6-8 hours PRIOR to cardiac arrest that were missed. 

  • 3X increase in mortality if abnormal vital signs develop.  

  • 70% fewer HAI's if teams are aware of infection problems and take steps toward prevention.

About Heidi Abdelhady, MD

  • Triple Board Certified:  Critical Care, Pulmonary, and Internal Medicine

  • 20 + yrs. of clinical, administrative, and GME experience in surgical, medical, cardiac, cardiothoracic, and virtual critical care

  • Academic and  community hospital (teaching and non-teaching) experience gives her the unique ability to customize and contextualize recommendations for each client

  • Superb communication and cross collaboration skills with an astute eye for details

  • Created the first Targeted Temperature Management program in Baltimore
